Life doesn’t have to feel this way forever. Let’s take the time to prioritize you.

You’ve mastered survival mode. Now it’s time to live. Meet Dr. Elizabeth Gayner, women’s therapist in Oakland, CA.

You’re wondering if you’ll ever feel like yourself again.

The twists and turns on this motherhood journey leave you lost and broken. Maybe you’re struggling with deep hurt from the past that you can’t figure out how to let go. There’s a weight of uncertainty, fear, and grief that makes it hard even to catch your breath, let alone envision a path forward. You’re asking yourself, “Am I going to feel this way forever?”

You’ve reached a point where you know something has to change. What if I told you there could be more than just relief ahead? Together, we can work to reclaim who you are and discover who you want to become.

MEET ELIZABETH GAYNER, Psy.D, PMH-C

I understand how essential it is to find someone who truly “gets it.”

With years of experience in perinatal issues and maternal mental health, I am familiar with the unique challenges women face during this demanding stage of life. My extensive expertise in trauma allows me to provide support and guidance for navigating difficult past experiences, regardless of their nature.

As a therapist, I approach our sessions with warmth, empathy, humor, and gentle directness. This is a safe space for you to explore your emotions and challenges openly, including those you may have never expressed before. I am here to meet you wherever you are on your journey, offering compassion as we work together to untangle your feelings and experiences. I believe in normalizing—not minimizing—your experiences, helping you recognize that you are not alone in your struggles.

I believe in therapy that feels
relieving. transformative. validating. encouraging. hopeful. empowering. nurturing.
